Heartfelt In Office

Non-invasive cardiac

screening in our office

EARLY DETECTION DELIVERED IN OUR OFFICE

If you’re seeking a convenient, effective, and affordable way to prioritize your heart health but can’t make it to our community events, you’ll be pleased to know that we now offer Heartfelt screenings at our cardiology office in Laguna Beach. These screenings take place on-site and include a comprehensive evaluation, which consists of an electrocardiogram (EKG) and an echocardiogram (echo – cardiac ultrasound) performed in a private and comfortable setting.

Our in-office cardiac screenings are offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays based on availability. The cost is $250 per person, and a minimum of two people are required to schedule an appointment. You’re encouraged to bring along a family member, friend, or neighbor.

Our EKG records the electrical signals in your heart to evaluate its rhythm and function, while the echocardiogram uses ultrasound technology to produce detailed images of your heart, providing valuable information about its size, shape, and overall function.

Don’t wait to prioritize your heart health. Schedule your heart screening today and take the first step towards better heart health. We’re excited to provide you with this service.

30 Minute Comprehensive Cardiac Screening

Performed by qualified technologists & reviewed by Board Certified Cardiologists

What is an Echocardiogram? (Echo)

An Echocardiogram (echo), or cardiac ultrasound, is a test that displays moving images of the heart.  This test is like the ultrasound pictures taken during early pregnancy in women.  It can identify problems with the heart’s structure and pumping function. This ultrasound is quick, simple, and painless.

Issues such as Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP), Aortic Stenosis, Valvular Regurgitation, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (LVH), Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Pulmonary Hypertension and more can be detected by echo.

What is an Electrocardiogram? (EKG)

An Electrocardiogram (EKG) is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart.  Like the echo, an EKG is quick, simple, and painless. Electrodes are placed on the chest to record the heart’s electrical signals, which cause the heart to beat.

The EKG can detect rhythm disorders including Atrial Fibrillation, Premature or Skipped Beats (PVCs/PACs), rapid or slow heart rate, Long QT, Wolfe-Parkinson-White (WPW), and others.
